N.V.Me Designs was established in 2001 by Nicole (Nikki) Valentine. Without any formal training she jumped into her passion for fashion with only an uber creative mind and God-Given talents. Her unique style of design was taking existing clothing, disassembling them and remaking them into hip stylish pieces also know as Urban Wear.
In 2002, Nikki made a denim maxi skirt (using only scissors and an hot glue gun), made from a pair of trouser jeans she could no longer fit. She wore the skirt while attending 'All Star Weekend' in Philadelphia. While walking through a crowd of people, Rap Artist Warren G noticed the skirt and complemented her on the unique piece, followed by an Music Producer/Manager that needed his artist styled for a performance that evening. The producer asked her if she could assist them in finding the artist something to wear, the next thing she knew, she was thrown in a Limousine to start her career as a Personal Stylist and Fashion Designer.

After being featured on the front page of the Westside Weekly (a local publication), her career catapulted into overdrive. She was now being recognized by her community and Philly as an up and coming fashion designer. She was invited to do Fashion Shows at local night clubs, was seen on TV, interviewed by Philly Style Magazine, and one of her designs was worn by Mary J. Blige in an Essence Magazine spread in 2002. Rap Artist Eve also wore on of her designs in one of her music videos and she collaborated with Miskeen Handpainted and the T-shirt design was worn by Sean (P. Diddy) Combs a in a video. Soon after, boutiques all over the US wanted to have her creations in their shops.
Her career went from 0 to 60 in 2.5 seconds. "It was scary and I would doubt my abilities, but I would not let that stop me". However, what did stop her was a pregnancy in 2002, the birth of her 2nd son in 2003 and discovering she had developed cancer in 2004. "Life happens and I found myself focusing on my current life instead of my dreams". Always having the desire to do it all again, after a 12 year hiatus, Nikki Valentine decided to start N.V.Me Designs and she did just that. In March of 2015 she restarted her business and in addition to her denim creations she now has a T-shirt Line, offers services of Personal Styling, Shopping, Wardrobe Editing, and Make-Up to her portfolio.

"I've been working on my comeback in to the world of fashion and design, this time I will not let my dreams be just that, dreams, I’m making it a reality".
